History

J. Punton and Son have been helping to organise funerals in the Snaith area for nearly 50 years. Jack Punton founded the business back in 1956 after completing his apprenticeship in undertaking and joinery with Hinsley's of Carlton.

Jack ran the funeral business as well as the hardware shop he also founded and still found time to serve as an occasional Methodist preacher on the Snaith circuit.

In 1979 Jack was joined by his son John which allowed Jack to take semi-retirement and spend the rest of his life taking part in long distance charity walks and marathons. Upon Jack's death in 1999, John has continued to run the business aided by several family members. The company has remained family owned and run for nearly 50 years and strives to offer a sensitive and efficient service tailored to the wishes of you and your loved one.
